Sheikh Abdullah conspired against Jan Sangh, had a role in Shyama Prasad Mukherjee’s death: Tarun Chugh

BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh, alongside Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Dhami, held a roadshow and a public rally in Samba, where Chugh highlighted the conspiracies of Sheikh Abdullah’s government during the Jana Sangh era.

He said Sheikh Mohammed Abdullah enforced a seperate constitution and flag for Kashmir at the time, resulting in the arrest of Syama Prasad Mukherjee, the founder of right wing Hindutva organisation, Jana Sangh.

Chugh criticized the ongoing demand for the reinstatement of Article 370 by the Abdullah family, questioning if Jammu Kashmir should be held back by these provisions.

He emphasized the need for development under Narendra Modi’s leadership, framing the election as a choice between progress and the return of outdated laws like Articles 370 and 35A.

In his speech, Chugh urged voters to reject Farooq Abdullah’s efforts to bring back the old provisions and instead support the BJP candidate, Surjit Singh Salathia, for the future of J&K.
