Amid the Boycott Chinese Products call by the Bhartiya Janta Party, the Indian National Congress has leveled serious allegations against the ruling party saying that the government has barred Chinese companies from working in India,but on the other hand the meter installation project in Jammu Kashmir is being indirectly handled by Chinese company.
Pawan Khera, the congress spokesperson alleged, “The government has facilitated back-door entry of the Chinese company for such a sensitive work in Jammu Kashmir.

The party further alleged that Dongfang company is active in various countries and has special relations with Pakistan. The company has worked in Pakistan’s Nandipur power project and is known for making software and hardware for Radio Frequency Technology.
The Congress alleged, “the company which has got the work in JK to install smart electric metres has given its work to Dongfang which is Chinese company and reports to the Chinese Army and the government.”
The Company has to install 1 lakh smart metres in Jammu and another 1 lakh in Srinagar.
“There is a threat that with all the data with the Chinese company, this may create a blackout,” said Khera.
