BJPs Election Rally Attended by 60 People in Kashmir

The Bhartiya Janta Party had its embarrassing moment on Sunday as it held a rally in Rohama area of Rafiabad in North Kashmir’s Baramulla District as less than eighty people visited the rally.

Sources informed The Kashmiriyat that BJP had called a rally in Rohama area on Sunday wherein, Mohammed Maqbool War who is contesting the North Kashmir seat from Baramulla Lok Sabha Seat addressed the people.

The meeting was attended by other leaders of the Bhartiya Janta Party which formed a Government in Jammu Kashmir by joining hands with PDP, which had won majority of seats in an Anti National Conference wave in the Kashmir valley.

“These 60 people were the family members and relatives of the BJP members, not even a single common person visited the rally, which was announced at least two weeks ago, the posters had been posted in various areas of North Kashmir,” Junaid Ahmed, a Local told The Kashmiriyat.

Jammu Kashmir has a total of 6 seats, Kashmir has a total of three Lok Sabha seats, Baramulla, Anantnag and Srinagar, the polls in South Kashmir’s seat, Anantnag will be held in three different phases, officials told The Kashmiriyat that they are expecting a tough job for voting staff and the election officials in this Lok Sabha seat of Anantnag.

While Anantnag will go to polls on April 23, under the third phase, Kulgam will vote during the 4th phase, on April 29. The elections for the twin districts of Pulwama and Shopian will be held under 5th phase, on May 6.

Baramulla seat comprising of Bandipora, Baramulla and Kupwara districts in North Kashmir goes to the polls in the first phase of the Lok Sabha election on 11 April. The constituency as per Election commission has 13,12,148 voters and 1,749 polling stations.
