On Thursday, a black bear was captured alive by a Wildlife Department team in Lukbawan Larkipora area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
Reports suggest that on receiving information about the black bear along human habitation, a team of experts from Control Room Dooru led by Wild Life incharge Gulzar Ahmad Shah reached on spot to tranquilize the black bear.
A trap was laid in the area and the bear was finally captured without causing any injury to anyone. The bear has been shifted to Daksum Wildlife Sanctuary.
Meanwhile, the locals of the area applauded the wildlife department for their efforts, especially wildlife warden south, Range officer Bringi and incharge control room Dooru Gulzar Ahmad Shah for immediate redressal of the problem.
