The dead body of a middle-aged man missing since Monday afternoon has been found dead in the Rakh Wetland in the Sopore area of North Kashmir’s Baramulla District.
An official confirming the incident to The Kashmiriyat said that Abdul Majeed Dar son of Ghulam Mohammed Dar aged 45 was found in the wetland in the Hygam area of Sopore in North Kashmir.
He said that Abdul Majeed was missing after he left his home on Monday noon in his boat in the wetland area.
The Police had launched operations to trace him and his body was found hours later after he had drowned to death inside the wetland.
The body of the man has been taken over to the Local Police Station for medico-legal formalities. “The body will be handed over to the legal heirs after the completion of the formalities,’ the official told The Kashmiriyat.
