
The body of youth missing from his home in the Kokernag area of Anantnag district since March 6, has been fished out from river Jhelum in Bijbehara in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
Reports reaching The Kashmiriyat said that the dead body has been as identified as Showkat Ahmed Gorsi son of Lal din Gorse had gone missing last week.
Earlier speaking to The Kashmiriyat, Mohammed Ashraf, his cousin said that Showkat Ahmed Gorsi son of Lal din Gorse was working as a labour in Anantnag town for the past two months and went missing on Friday.
“He called home on Thursday night and the next day we got a call from his colleagues to enquire if Showkat had reached home,” he said, adding, “they said Showkat had left his rented room early on Friday morning.”
The cause of his death has not been ascertained as of yet.
