As the body of Militant commander, Zeenat ul Islam reached his native in Ustadpora rea of Sugan in South Kashmir’s Shopian, people stormed out on the streets amid mourning and sloganeering in utter disbelief.
In mid- 2017, the Indian Army had prepared a list of 12- Most wanted Militants and one of them was considered to be relatively dangerous, as he was an IED expert.The Militant was Sugan’s dearest boy, Zeenat ul Islam.
Zeenat ul Islam had joined Militants in mid 2015.
But he was working as an upper ground worker since 2008, as per police sources.
His family members were also thrashed the last year.
In fact the house of his in laws was also burnt down in May 2018 in Turkwangam Shopian.
Zeenat ul Islam had recently quit Hizb after he and Hizb commander, Riyaz Naikoo developed differences, he joined Al badr Mujahideen later.

Last year a rumour spread through the Sugan area that Zeenat had been killed in an encounter.
Thousands of women and men had hit the streets causing heavy damage to Government Forces.
Today the mood was calm though, people prayed for the popular commander to be safe, a local from Sugan told The Kashmiriyat.
Prayers were also held in a local mosque for patience to the Militant commander who was trapped in this Yaripora.
After an hour the gunfight was over, Zeenat had been killed along with his associate.
His body was handed over to his family in utter disbelief, when the body reached the native area of Shakoor.
Women burst into wailing and the whole area reverberated with pro Freedom slogans and people from many far areas had come to get a last glimpse of the fallen Militant commander.
He will be laid to rest in afternoon at his native area in Sugan area of Shopian.
