The Jammu Kashmir Police arrested a bootlegger in the Hiller Shahabad of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
An official told The Kashmiriyat that acting on a tip-off, the Station House Officer (SHO) Dooru Syed Nazeer Andrabi laid a patrol in the Hillar area, during which one person travelling in a Santro car was arrested.
“During Naka Checking Santro vehicle bearing registration number JK03A 2302 was coming from Ujroo towards Dooru. A Police Party stopped the said Santro for checking and during Vehicle Check 27 bottles of illicit liquor were recovered from the possession of a man identified as Mohammed Yousuf Sheikh, a resident of Hiller Arahama in Anantnag’s Kokernag area,” the official said.
The bootlegger was arrested and a case under relevant sections of law was registered at the Police station, he said.
