Budgam: 3-year-old child allegedly murdered, Police launch probe

A minor old child was allegedly murdered in the Budgam district of central Kashmir.

A police official confirmed to The Kashmiriyat, on Tuesday morning, the dead body of a two year child Zeeshan Ahmed son Bilal Ahmed Kalas was found in the lawn of his house in the Kachwari area of Budgam’s Khan Sahab area.

The official said that Police received an information about the child’s dead body at around 2:40 A.M., after which a police party rushed to the spot.

“Police took the body in their possession and after the completion of medico-legal formalities, the body was handed over to the family for the performance of last rites,” the official told The Kashmiriyat.

The child was found with his throat slit, officia said, adding, “Only after a thorough probe, it can be told if it is a case of murder or not.”

Police Station Khan Sahib in Budgam has launched an investigation into the matter.

The fmily members have alleged that their son was murdered, saying that some unknown persons entered the house forcefully during the night hours and killed their son with knife and slit the throat.
