The family of a youth from Central Kashmir’s Budgam district , who has joined militancy, on Wednesday appealed to their son to return for the sake of his pregnant wife and four-year old son.
Tariq Ahmed Bhat of Hanjigund Chadoora area of Central Kashmir’s Budgam district joined militancy recently forcing his family to make an appeal to him to return soon.
According to a video available with news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the family members are requesting militants to send their son, who is an auto driver by profession, back home.
Tariq has announced through audio which went viral that he has joined the militant ranks.
His family members said that they have approached the police station Chadoora on 20th September and lodged a missing report about their son.
“We are shocked because we never believed that Tariq was inclined towards militancy. But we request him to come back to home for his 4 year old son, pregnant wife and old parents,”‘ Tariq’s family members said.
They told KNO that Tariq who was an auto driver by profession, had gone missing on Friday and they searched for him everywhere but failed to find him.
“On Sunday evening, we heard an audio in which our son announced that he has joined militant ranks,” the family members said.
Tariq’s wife said: ” I appeal my husband wherever he is, to come back home. Do not leave your son. I have a baby in my womb who will take care of him. If you won’t come back, we will die.”—(KNO)
