Budgam Police books four notorious drug peddlers under PSA

The Budgam police have booked four notorious drug peddlers under the Public Safety Act (PSA), taking the number to 19 this year—2022.

In a Press Statement, the Police has said that these four drug peddlers were involved in six (06) NDPS cases registered in various Police stations of the district. They have been accused of promoting drug abuse trade by supplying drugs to local youth of district Budgam.

The police has identified four accused as Jahangeer Ahmad Magloo @Jai Khandeel son of Abdul Rasheed Magloo, Mohammad Arif Magloo son of Ghulam Mohammad Magloo both resident of Putlibagh Budgam, Mehraj Ahmad Wani @Mehra son of Mohammad Amin Wani resident if Awanpora Chadoora and Miasar Ahmed Mir son of Late Ghulam Hassan Mir resident of Dalwan Charar-e-Sharief.

”Despite their involvement in many FIRs, these drug peddlers didn’t mend their activities,” police statement reads.

It further reads as ”Subsequently, the cases were duly processed and sanctions were obtained from the competent authority against arrested drug peddlers for detention under Public Safety Act and have been lodged in district jail Rajouri.”
