The burglars broke the donation boxes and decamped with cash at the Sufi shrine of Hazrat Syed Nizamuddin Bukhari’s in the Delina area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
Officials told The Kashmiriyat that in the intervening night of Thursday and Friday, the burglars broke into the shrine in Delina where stole all the cash from the donation box.
The incident has sparked anger in the region as locals have demanded stringent action against the culprits.
The Jammu Kashmir Police has registered a case in this regard and launched an investigation into the incident.
Pertinently in the past few weeks, the attempts of loot at Sufi Shrines have increased, earlier, the burglars decamped with cash at the shrine of famous Sufi Saint, Hazrat Sheikh Abdul Qadir Jeelani in Srinagar’s Khanyar area.
