Burglars decamp with gold worth 35 lakhs from two residential houses in Shopian

Burglars decamped with gold worth 35 Lakhs from two residential houses in the Hendaw area of south Kashmir’s Shopian district.

A victim family speaking to The Kashmiriyat said that unknown persons barged into two residential houses in Shopian during the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday and decamped with gold worth thirty-five (35) lakh rupees.

They said that the burglars stormed inside the house of Mohammed Ayoub Bhat son of Mohammed Ismail Bhat from where they decamped with gold worth thirty (30) lakh. “They also barged inside the house of one Mohsin Ahmed Wani son of Abdul Quyoom Wani from where they stole gold worth five lakhs,” they said.

The families have filed a missing report at the concerned Police station.

A team from the concerned Police station has reached the spot to take a stock of the situation.
