Unknown burglars looted four shops in the main town of Kulgam in south Kashmir.
An official told The Kashmiriyat that during the intervening night of Thursday and Friday burglars looted four shops in Kulgam town.
He said that thieves decamped with goods worth lakhs of rupees besides cash of over one lakh rupees from the four shops.
Meanwhile a team of Jammu Kashmir Police has reached the spot and are investigating the matter.
Locals said that the shops that have been looted include provisional store, two medical stores and a Bakery shop.
They told The Kashmiriyat that the frequent burglaries have triggered panic among the residents and shopkeepers in the Kulgam town.
