
A large chunk of dry grass and bushes caught fire in Brari-Nambal area of Babademb Srinagar.
An official from Fire and Emergency Services told news agency Kashmir News Trust that fire was put out after hard efforts. He said that a large chunk of Nambal had caught fire damaging dry grass and bushes.
Local sources said that fire spread to the grass after flames emanated from the garbage dumped by people in the Nambal area.
“Fire spread quickly and damaged grass and other stuff spreading in a vast patch of the Nambal,” they said. (KNT)
