Following a specific input about Militant movement, the Government Forces jointly launched a cordon and search operation in the Sopore area of North Kashmir’s Baranulla District.
On the forenoon of Sunday, the forces including RR of Indian Army, CRPF and Jammu Kashmir police sealed all the entry and exit points to the Tarzoo Ambarpora in Sopore area.
Locals told The Kashmiriyat that a heavy contingent of forces reached this Sopore locality and are conducting a search operation in the area.
Meanwhile a Cordon and Search operation has been launched at Khan Mohalla in Seer Hamdan area of South Kashmir’s Islamabad (Anantnag) district.
A search operation was going on when this report was being filed.
Cordon and Search operation were restarted in 2017 when Kashmir Militancy saw locals rejoining militant ranks after the killing of Burhan Wani in 2016, July.
