A Cordon and Search Operation has been launched in the Yaned area of Pahalgam in South Kashmir’s Islamabad (Anantnag) District on Thursday.
Sources told The Kashmiriyat that Government Forces including 3 RR of Indian Army and Jammu Kashmir Police launched a joint Anti Militancy operation in the area following specific input about Militant presence in the yaned area.
Locals said that a heavy contingent of Forces have reached the area and are conducting a search operation in the area.
The search operation was going on when this report was filed.
yaned is the native of Arif Ahmed Mir, the slain Militant who was recently killed in the Kiloora Shopian encounter.
