Following a specific input about Militant movement, the Government Forces jointly launched a cordon and search operation in the Koil area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama District.
On the evening of Tuesday, the forces including 55 RR of Indian Army, CRPF and Jammu Kashmir police sealed all the entry and exit points to the Koil area in Pulwama.
Locals told The Kashmiriyat that a heavy contingent of forces reached this Pulwama locality and are conducting a search operation in the area.
A search operation was going on when this report was being filed.
Cordon and Search operation were restarted in 2017 when Kashmir Militancy saw locals rejoining militant ranks after the killing of Burhan Wani in 2016, July.
