Following a specific input about Militant movement, the Government Forces jointly launched a cordon and search operation in the Chinar Mohalla area of Durbgam in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
On Saturday afternoon, the forces including 55 RR of Indian Army, 182, 183 BNs of CRPF and Jammu Kashmir police sealed all the entry and exit points to the Chinar Mohallah area.
Locals told The Kashmiriyat that a heavy contingent of forces reached this Pulwama locality and are conducting a search operation in the area.
Youth hit the streets as soon as troops launched a joint operation, Shouting Pro Freedom and Pro Militancy slogans, the youth hit the streets throwing stones on Government Forces.
The troops fired tear smoke shells to disperse the protesting youth, Locals told The Kashmiriyat.
A search operation was going on when this report was being filed.
