Following a specific input about Militant movement, the Government Forces jointly launched a cordon and search operation in the Hergam Mohalla area of Durbgam in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
On Monday morning, the forces including 55 RR of Indian Army, 182, 183 BNs of CRPF and Jammu Kashmir police sealed all the entry and exit points to the Drubgam’s Hergam area.
Locals told The Kashmiriyat that a heavy contingent of forces reached this Pulwama locality and are conducting a search operation in the area.
Youth in large numbers hit the streets as soon as the search operation started.
The forces fired tear smoke shells and pellets to disperse the protesting youth.
However, the clashes were going on.
