Following a specific input about Militant movement, the Government Forces jointly launched a cordon and search operation in the Ghat area of Redwani in South Kashmir’s Kulgam District.
Late afternoon on Friday, the forces including RR of Indian Army and Jammu Kashmir Police sealed all the entry and exit points to the Ghat area.
Locals told The Kashmiriyat that a heavy contingent of forces reached this Redwani locality and are conducting a search operation in the area.
Clashes also erupted in the area as soon as the forces reached the area when youth in large numbers hit the streets throwing stones on Forces.
The Forces fired tear smoke shells on protesters.
