Following a specific input about Militant movement, the Government Forces jointly launched a cordon and search operation in the Ganopora locality of South Kashmir’s Shopian District.
Late on Thursday, the forces including 44 RR of Indian Army, CRPF and Jammu Kashmir police sealed all the entry and exit points to the Ganopora area.
Locals told The Kashmiriyat that a heavy contingent of forces reached this Shopian locality and are conducting a search operation in the area.
Meanwhile 55RR, CRPF and Jammu Kashmir Police launched a Cordon and Search Operation in the Karimabad Locality of Pulwama in South Kashmir.
A search operation was going on in both the areas when this report was being filed.
