Following a specific input about Militant movement, the Government Forces jointly launched a cordon and search operation in the Wathoo area of South Kashmir’s Shopian District.
Late afternoon on Thursday, the forces including 44 RR of Indian Army, and Jammu Kashmir police sealed all the entry and exit points to the Wathoo area.
Locals told The Kashmiriyat that a heavy contingent of forces reached this Shopian locality and are conducting a search operation in the area.
