Following specific inputs about Militant movement, The Government Forces on Thursday morning launched Cordon and Search operation (CASO) in Turkwangam area of South Kashmir’s Shopian District.
Sources told The Kashmiriyat that a search operation has been launched by 44 Rahstriya Rifles, Jammu Kashmir Police and CRPF jointly in the area
All the entry and exit points of the area have been sealed on Thursday morning.
A door to door search operation has begun, Locals told The Kashmiriyat.
Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) was launched as an Anti Militancy operation on May 2, 2017 amid a rise in the local recruitment into Militant groups in the Kashmir valley.
The Forces jointly conduct search operations in a specific area, locking down the area virtually and frisk houses on will.
