A man, brother of a Territorial Army personnel, was killed after unknown gunmen, suspected to be militants, fired upon their residence in Sharda Shrief area of Thanamandi in Rajouri district on Monday night. Official sources told GNS that militants opened fire at the residence of TA personnel in Kunda village near Sharda Sharief , resulting in critical injuries to his brother identified as Mohammad Razak son of Mohammad Akbar. Six labourers from Waltangoo area of Kund in South Kashmir's Kulgam district were killed and as many sustained injuries when their vehicle fell into a gorge near Sunni in Shimla district on Monday morning, sources said. The mishap took place at Kararghat, about 35 km from here, when the driver of the ill-fated pickup truck lost control of the vehicle. Officials told The Kashmiriyat, militants hurled a grenade at a patrol of CRPF and Police near Nishat park in the Nabripora area of Bandipora town, resulting in injuries to four government force personnel.
