Following the killing of two migrant teachers, the School Education Department has directed the Chief Education Officers (CEOs) of Kashmir division to post non—Muslim employees of the department at their desirous and safe places. Sources in the department informed the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) “Authorities have directed the CEOs to place non—Muslim employees at the places of their choice and safe zones.” Pertinently, in past few weeks, Kashmir has witnessed series of attacks over non—Muslims employees posted here—(KNO)

The survey conducted by GMC Srinagar has found that 65 percent parents in Jammu and Kashmir don't prefer online applications for education of their children, while 20 percent parents do. "An online survey was conducted to study the screen time in children during COVID-19. The online Google Forms were shared through various social media sites and parents were asked to fill out the forms. A scuffle broke out at the Kashmir University's law Department, leaving one student injured. Speaking to The Kashmiriyat, a student of the 7th-semester of BALLB said that students of the 10th semester of the Law Department entered the classroom and dragged one of the 7th-semester students out of the class. He said that the students entered the classroom when a teacher was present inside the class, however, despite the presence of the teacher, they (10 sem students) thrashed his classmates causing injuries to one student. "They were carrying sharp objects including knives that they used to attack our classmates," the student alleged. The injured student had to be rushed to the hospital. The School Education Department on Wednesday said that the weight of school bags for KG students from classes I and II shall not have more than 1.6 KGs to 2.2 KGs According to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the Directorate of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) has said, “The weight of the school bags as per the policy, should be 1.6 to 2.2 kg for students of Classes I and II, 1.7 to 2.5 kg for Classes Ill, IV and V.” It also reads that only 2 to 3 kg for Classes VI and VIl, 2.5 to 4 kg for Class VIII, 2.5 to 4.5 kg for Classes IX and X and 3.5 to 5 kg for Classes XI and XI1 shall be allowed—(KNO)
