Authorities withdraw circular regarding profiling of Kashmiri students in Karnataka: JKSA

J K Students Association (J&KSA) Wednesday said that the authorities in Karnataka have withdrawn it's order of profiling Kashmiri students. In a statement issued to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), National Spokesperson of JKSA said that,l the association recieved several calls from Kashmiri students, wherein they said that authorities in number of colleges in Karnataka have started taking details of Kashmiri students. The details sought included current address, permanent address, email address and mobile number, along with details of courses, he said. In the recently announced annual regular results of 12th standard, Kashmir division has recorded the worst results after a gap of two years. This year Kashmir division witnessed an overall pass percentage of 74.92 percent. The news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) has learnt that in the year 2008, the pass percentage of 12th standard was 53.50 percent in which 43,183 students appeared in the examination out of which 23,102 candidates qualified the examination.
