Government Unani Medical College of Kashmir has got permission to start the admission process for the first batch of Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery (BUMS) course in the year 2020-21. There will be 60 seats in this course. An official spokesman gave this information, NDTV Reported. The spokesman said that the Union Ministry of AYUSH has issued a "permission letter" to start the course. The School Education Department on Monday said that it has registered at least 40,000 fresh admissions for the academic year 2020-21 in government schools of Kashmir. The Jammu Kashmir administration has issued some new guidelines related to the epidemic. As per the guidelines, all educational institutions will remain closed till 31 December. With this, no new permission or pass will be required for those activities which were already allowed in the region. An order issued by BVR Subrahmanyam, chief secretary and chairman of the state executive committee, said, "All schools, colleges, higher educational institutions (including Anganwadi), except the training institutes run by the central and state government, will remain closed till December 31." The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) on Thursday announced date sheet for annual regular examination for class 11th. As per the date sheet, the JKBOSE has scheduled the exam from December-12. “The exams will commence from December-12 and will culminate on January-06 2021,” the notification reads. Earlier the students had been demanding a mass promotion, however the JKBOSE had clearly said they will conduct examinations.
