IUST Suspends Classwork for Friday, Mobile Internet Suspended in Pulwama in wake of Militant Killing

December 28 Authorities on Friday suspended all the exams and class work at the Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST) for “precautionary measures”. A spokesman of the varsity said that classwork has been suspended have been suspended today. Meanwhile Mobile internet services have been barred in Pulwama district against the killing of one Militant in Renzipora area of South Kashmir district.

Private Schools Not Complying with Winter Vacation Orders will loose recognition

December 10 Directorate of School Education Kashmir Monday said that  schools violating winter vacation orders will face strict action  loose their recognition if they do not comply with orders. “DSEK takes strong notice of the complaints of parents about the non-compliance of orders about winter vacations by some private schools,” DSEK said in a statement,  adding that ‘schools found violating the orders to be de-recognized’. Books Stalls Charging ‘Unfair’ Costs Sealed in Islamabad (Anantnag) township

November 14 The parents of several private school going kids have been constantly complaining of unfair charges being charged by book sellers in the Islamabad (Anantnag) township of South Kashmir. "They are illegally charging a lot of money and burdening the parents of the students of Private schools. Board Exams as Per Schedule in Kashmir Valley tomorrow

October 24 The Board exams for class 8th and 12th will be held as per schedule tomorrow, Director School Education told The Kashmiriyat. Speaking to The Kashmiriyat over the phone Ghulam Nabi Itoo said that the exams will be held as per schedule tomorrow and there will be no postponement of exams in any area. Class 12th English paper Postponed to November 02

October 22 The Jammu Kashmir State Board of School Education (BOSE) has rescheduled today’s class 12th  examination of English paper to November 02. JKBOSE had postponed today’s class 12th exam in view of the prevailing situation in Kashmir. The spokesman of JKBOSE said: “The examination of English paper which was scheduled to be held on October 22 and was postponed due to unavoidable circumstances in the valley shall now be held on November 02 (Friday).”

October 21 JK Board Of School Education on Sunday postponed examinations scheduled tomorrow, heeding to the concern expressed by the students following the killing of seven civilians in Kugam. “The examination scheduled tomorrow (October 22) stands postponed and fresh examination dates will be announced later,” Chairperson/ Secretary Board Of School Education Veena Pandit said. GDC Baramulla to Remain Shut Tomorrow

October 19 The Government Degree College Baramulla will remain shut on October 20 Saturday, officials said. An order issued by the principal of the college said that the college will remain shut for counting of recently concluded Municipal polls.
