School Education sector Anantnag seeks permission for starting class work in open-fields

The School Education sector of Anantnag district Tuesday said it has sought permission from the administration of the region to start classwork in open fields. It also promised to follow the prescribed Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s). Chief Education Officer (CEO) Anantnag, Abdul Rub Shad told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer, “We have asked the district administration that if any school administration wants to conduct classwork, they have to hold it in the open fields followed by the prescribed SOP’s,” Shad said. Hindi Makes it to Official Languages in Jammu Kashmir

The Cabinet on Wednesday approved Jammu and Kashmir Official Languages Bill, 2020, said Union Minister Prakash Javadekar. “Urdu, Kashmiri, Dogri, Hindi and English to be official languages in Jammu and Kashmir under the new Bill approved by the Cabinet, said Javadekar. Javadekar said that the Union Cabinet has also approved Mission Karmayogi for bringing post-recruitment reforms in the government.

Dates for Submission of Forms and Exams shifted due to Internet Ban

Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (BOSE) on Monday said it has devised a mechanism to promote the aspiring candidates of annual and bi-annual private examinations of Class 10th and 12th, who have already passed two or more subjects. According to a notification issued by the government, the annual and bi-annual private examinations of session 2019-20 of Kashmir division, and winter zone areas of Jammu division, which were scheduled to be held in the months of March-April 2019 could not be conducted in view of COV1D-19 pandemic followed by nationwide lockdown. No Exam Centre In Foreign Countries For NEET 2020

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has told the Supreme Court that it is not possible to have overseas centres for National Eligibility-Cum-Entrance Test (NEET) (UG) 2020 as the examination is conducted offline. The update comes after parents of around 4000 aspirants filed a plea seeking centres for the entrance exam in Gulf countries, including in Doha, Qatar, Oman, and UAE. The exam is scheduled to be conducted on September 13, 2020. In an affidavit filed on August 11, NTA said examination cannot be conducted in cities abroad as it has to be conducted in single-shift at the same time on the same day to maintain uniformity. The Central Government has said the opening of schools will depend on the situation of COVID-19. The Union Education Ministry officials told a parliamentary panel on Monday that online classes are only meant for school children above Class 3 and only a limited number of online classes are allowed for those up to 8th standard. Schools May Reopen in September with 33% Staff and Student Strength: Govt

In the month of August, as India touches the 20 lakh benchmark from 15 lakh cases in a record 9 days, the central government is in discussions to chalk out a plan to reopen schools from the month of September. The government is of the view that schools for higher classes could begin in a phased manner between September and November. Guidelines include opening schools first for classes 10-12 and then for classes VI-IX, which have been discussed with GOM for Corona headed by Health Minister Dr Harshvardhan. In the first phase, students of classes X-XII will be asked to attend schools. If a school has four sections in any class, only two sections will attend school on alternative days.
