Complying with the order of the Jammu Kashmir administration, the officials have prepared a list of the patches of state land in the Kulgam district of south Kashmir. The Kashmiriyat has learned that a total of 9597 patches of land registered under various Khasra numbers have been listed under various state land categories of the state land in the south Kashmir region out of which 5295 patches of land have been "encroached" upon while 4284 patches of land are vacant. Officials in the Srinagar district of central Kashmir have listed a total of 6926 patches of land registered under separate Kharsa numbers with the revenue Department of Jammu Kashmir as state land - out of them 6426 patches of state land have been encroached, while 503 patches of land are lying vacant. Officials on Wednesday launched an anti-encroachment drive in several places of Anantnag district, in pursuance of the orders of the Jammu Kashmir administration that ordered the removal of encroachers on the state land by January 31. The Kashmir valley witnessed a rise of over 30 per cent in the total number of fire incidents recorded in the year 2022 against the year 2020. According to official figures in 2020, 1900 fire incidents were reported around the Kashmir valley while in 2022, 2500 fire incidents were recorded in Kashmir valley from January 01 to December 31. Speaking to The Kashmiriyat,  a family member of Mannan Dar confirmed that NIA court of Patiala house Delhi granted bail to the 24-year-old journalist on Monday afternoon. "We are expecting his release tomorrow.
