Kashmir Journalist Fahad Shah detained under the Public Safety Act was shifted to Jammu and his custody was handed over to the State Investigation Agency (SIA) for questioning in a case. 23.7 percent households in Jammu Kashmir own cars, Third highest after Kerala and Goa: Survey

The National Family Health Survey -5 has revealed that with 23.7 percent Jammu Kashmir has the third-highest number of cars after Goa and Kerala. Goa has 45.2 percent of the total households that possess cars. The figures place Jammu Kashmir at the second-highest spot of people in possession of cars, while Bihar stands at the bottom of the list with 2 percent.
