On his way to the Government Degree college (GDC), he saw a man who was trying to commit suicide as there wasn't single penny in his pocket besides that there was no food and other eatable items at his home. Asif Sultan, whose case has been pleaded by the Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ) and various other bodies on Thursday completes two years under detention. CPJ along with nearly 400 journalists and civil society members called for Asif's release by writing to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Meanwhile, the commission has banned the formation of new tehsils, districts and other administrative units in all these states, including Jammu Kashmir, reports said.
