Three Muslim workers assaulted by Hindutva mob, thrashed by mob in Jharkhand
On June 6, in the Namkum area of Ranchi, Jharkhand, three Muslim labourers were violently assaulted by a mob of over 30 individuals allegedly associated with Hindutva groups. The victims say they were targeted solely because of their religious identity.
According to a video circulating on social media platform X, the men said the attack occurred during their lunch break near their worksite, shortly after they had returned from offering namaz at a mosque.
“They asked us, ‘Who are you? What are your names? What are you doing here?’” one of the victims told local reporters. “When we told them our names and they saw our kurta-pyjamas, their tone changed.”
