Kashmiri Sikhs Stage Protest at Press Enclave Against the Incident of Sacrilege at Kesgarh Sahib

On Thursday, the Kashmiri Sikh community staged a protest at the Press Enclave, Srinagar, and demanded strict action against a man who was smoking a 'beedi' at Darbar Sahib. After smoking the 'beedi,' he allegedly threw the 'beedi' off at the Granthi Singh at Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib, Punjab. Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat is scheduled to undertake his first visit to Jammu and Kashmir post the abrogation of articles 370 and 35 A. Bhagwat, during his three-day visit to the Union Territory from October 1 to October 3, will interact with 'prabudh varg' members, informed sources. Apart from meeting intellectuals in the Union Territory, the RSS Sarsanghchalak has a packed schedule as this visit comes after a gap of more than two years. Two persons from Jammu have been arrested on charges of murdering a former member of the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Council and National Conference leader Trilochan Singh Wazir.
