Allahabad High Court on Wednesday while denying bail to Javed said Cow should be declared as the national animal of India. The Court also said that cow protection should be made a fundamental right of Hindus. Javed has been accused of slaughtering a cow. He was charged with the offense under Section 379 of IPC (Punishment of Theft) and Sections 3, 5, 8 of the Prevention of Cow Slaughter Act in Uttar Pradesh. A report by NDTV, quoting Government Forces, said that 25 to 30 Militants from 6 Militant organizations have infiltrated into Kashmir. The Supreme Court was told on Tuesday that the Uttar Pradesh government has withdrawn 77 cases pertaining to the Muzaffarnagar riots of 2013, including for offences entailing a life sentence, without giving any reasons.
