An interfaith marriage was stopped, allegedly by activists of Karni Sena, at a local court in Ballia district by terming it a case of “forced conversion and love jihad”, the police said on Thursday. The activists of the Hindutva outfit then supposedly compelled the woman to go to Kotwali police station, where police officers interceded and handed the 18-year-old woman to her parents, till she records her statement in court. A woman, has died here in a Lucknow hospital during treatment, after being critically ill when doctors at Government Medical College supposedly left a piece of cloth in her stomach during a cesarean operation. As per a report by NDTV, the woman, who was admitted to the trauma centre of King George's Medical College in a critical condition and was on a ventilator, died on Monday, her husband said on Wednesday. Taking note of the hapening,the principal of the medical college, Rajesh Kumar, had formed a three-member inquiry committee to probe the allegation. Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant is encountering criticism after pressure from the Opposition over the gang rape of two minor girls on a beach, for making remarks in the state Assembly that parents need to introspect on why their children were on the beach late at night. “When 14-year-olds stay on the beach the whole night, the parents need to introspect.
