18 labourers were killed last night after a speedy truck hit the bus in Uttar Pradesh's Barabanki district, 28 km from state capital Lucknow, when they were sleeping in front of the same bus they had been travelling in. The labourers, who are originally from Bihar, were coming back from Haryana and Punjab when the bus they were travelling in broke down on the national highway that leads to Bihar. They then slept on the road in front of the bus. The truck hit the bus from behind, making the bus to move forward and crush the labourers.
