BJP leader Vimal Bhadauria has been arrested for allegedly slapping ASP Etawah Prashant Kumar Prasad along with his aides during the poll for the post of block heads. Ram Bhakt Gopal was arrested by Gurugram Police on Monday, July 12, for supposedly referring provocative remarks at a mahapanchayat held in Pataudi on July 4. A 40-year-old woman and her husband have lodged a complaint with the police at Kannur district in Kerala that she was tortured and raped by an unidentified gang at Palani in Tamil Nadu. The alleged incident happened on June 20, according to the Kerala police. The woman and her husband are from Tamil Nadu but were staying in Kannur district for job purposes. According to the woman’s husband, the couple were on a pilgrimage to the famous hill shrine of Palani in Tamil Nadu and when her husband had gone to buy food, the woman was forcibly taken to a nearby lodge, detained, and raped by an unidentified gang including the manager of the lodge. A joint team of the Anti-Terror Squad (ATS) and Lucknow Police arrested two Militants of Al Qaeda from Lucknow on Sunday. According to the details, the duo was associated with the Militant group Al-Qaeda. A search operation in the Kakori area of the city was launched after the ATS had received inputs about the presence of suspected terrorists. The bodies of three boys were found in Kiccha river in Baheri locality of Bareilly district in Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday with injury marks on their bodies. They were missing since Tuesday. The trio were identified as identified as Zamin Ali (16), Mohammad Ausaf (18) and Zaid (16). The police claimed that they died due to drowning in the river. Following the major Modi Cabinet Minister reshuffle earlier this week in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Union cabinet, a report published by the Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR) poll rights group highlights 33 ministers (42%) in the new cabinet that have declared criminal cases against them. During the major Cabinet reshuffle, as many as 15 new Cabinet Ministers and 28 Ministers of state were sworn in on Wednesday, taking the total strength of the council of ministers to 78.
