High Court Grants Bail to Pinjra Tod’s Natasha, Devangana Kalita and Asif Iqbal Tanha

A bench of Justices Sidharth Mridul and Anup Jairam Bhambhani of the Delhi High Court today granted bail to students activist Asif Iqbal Tanha and Pinjra Tod activists Natasha Narwal and Devangana Kalita in the Delhi riots conspiracy case under UAPA. Bail is conditioned on a personal bond of Rs 50,000 and the presence of two local sureties. The three must relinquish their passports and refrain from engaging in actions that will jeopardize the case in order to be released on bond. Since May 2020, Narwal and Kalita, both PhD researchers at Jawaharlal Nehru University and members of the Pinjra Tod Collective, have been detained.
