The Indian Army has been losing more personnel every year in suicides, fratricides, and untoward incidents than in any enemy action, and over half of its soldiers seem to be under severe stress presently, said a study by think tank United Service Institution of India. "Prolonged exposure of Indian Army personnel to CI (counter- insurgency)/CT (counter-terrorism) environment has been one of the contributory factors for increased stress levels," said the research undertaken by Col A K Mor, Senior Research Fellow at the USI during 2019-20. MiG-21 Fighter Jet of Indian Air Force Crashes in Rajasthan

A MiG-21 fighter jet of Indian Air Force (IAF) crashed near Suratgarh, Rajasthan on Tuesday evening. Reports said that the pilot managed to eject safely. The primary cause of the crash is suspected to be - technical malfunction. A Court of Inquiry has been ordered to probe the accident, the IAF said. In 2019, in a similar incident, an Indian Air Force MiG-21 Bison aircraft airborne from Air force Station Nal for a routine sortie had crashed near Bikaner, Rajasthan. Initial inputs had indicated the likely cause of the accident as bird-hit after take off.

Police filed 'C Summary' report when the case is neither true or false, or when the criminal case was filed due to a mistake of facts or the offence complained about is of a civil nature. In February, violence had broken out in northeast Delhi between the groups supporting and opposing the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). The breach in question referred to a screening of "Poochta Hai Bharat" episode on September 6, 2019, 14:26 pm. Ishrat Jahan, one of the many arrested under the unlawful activities prevention Act for her alleged role in the Anti-CAA Protest in New Delhi has been allegedly beaten and abused by inmates in her cell in Mandoli jail, the Quint reported. Farhan Hashmi (her husband) and her sister Sarwer Jahan have alleged that Ishrat has been beaten for the second time. "Her clothes have been torn, her head smashed against the wall several times. She is being constantly abused and threatened. They are constantly extorting her to do things… to let her live peacefully. They are saying things like she has to arrange a liter of milk every day," her husband was quoted by the Quint as shaving said. Earlier Ishrat was beaten on 20 Novemer and she has not een feeling safe in the jail.
