Girl Stabbed to Death in Broad day Light on a Busy Street in Mumbai

August 05 A 21-year-old girl was allegedly to death by an unidentified man near the busy Regional Transport Office (RTO) in Thane area of Mumbai. The incident took place in broad day light around 10.30 am, reports said. The victim, Prachi Zade, was going on her two-wheeler when the accused stopped her near the RTO on the highway and stabbed her several times before fleeing from the spot, she died on the spot. After being alerted about the incident, a police team rushed to the spot and the victim's body was taken to the Government Civil Hospital for autopsy.

August 01 A Minor girl from Jharkhand in India has alleged three men including two Police officers of raping her and then being blackmailed by them. Reports said that the girl accused three persons along with police station in-charge and a deputy superintendent of police rank officer of rape. July 31 A 13-year-old mentally challenged girl was raped by 10 persons, including two minor, for over two months in Meghalaya. The incident came to light after an FIR was lodged by the girl’s family at the Resubelpara police station on Saturday. As per reports, the crime was witnessed by the wife of an accused and she informed the village elders about it. Following this, the family of the girl came to know about the trauma which their daughter was facing since two months. July 30 As many as 41 Government Force personnel were killed and 907 others injured in militancy-related and stone-pelting incidents in Kashmir valley this year, officials said on Monday. The officials said in the first six months, 39 Government Force personnel, including 17 Army personnel, 20 policemen and two CRPF personnel, were killed and 96 others injured in militancy-related incidents. The injured included 28 Army personnel, 31 CRPF personnel and 37 policemen. In stone-pelting incidents, two CRPF personnel were killed and 811 others injured during the same period. Of these, 592 policemen and 219 CRPF personnel were injured in 734 incidents of stone-pelting in the valley, the officials said. July 30 Around 40 lakh people in Assam have been left out of a draft list of citizens released today, and are liable to face deportation if they are unable to prove their citizenship. The state’s National Register of Citizens or NRC has been updated for the first time since 1951 to account for illegal migration from neighbouring Bangladesh. Releasing the updated list, officials underscored that no one would be deported or arrested as this is only a draft.
