March 25 A graffiti mocking the Bharatiya Janata Party and Modi has appeared in West Bengal as the party struggles to find candidates for all 42 Lok Sabha seats in the state. The graffiti shows Prime Minister Narendra Modi holding a leash tied to a cow, below a message read: "Let's make you a BJP candidate for Lok Sabha elections". The message has been shared widely on WhatsApp and Facebook groupd in the wake of Lok Sabha elections 2019. Virtual Sim Cards Used in Pulwama Attack, Probe Finds

March 25 A request would be sent to the US to seek details from a service provider of "virtual SIMs", which were used by the JeM suicide bomber behind the Pulwama attack and his Pakistan and Kashmir-based handlers, officials said. Piecing together probe from the site of the terror strike, searches carried out by the Jammu Kashmir police and central security agencies at an encounter site in Tral as well as other locations, it was found that the bomber, Adil Dar, was in constant touch with the JeM across the border, they said. March 24 After taking their protests to the National capital to highlight their demands, Tamil Nadu farmers are gearing up for an electoral battle and will file 111 nominations from the Varanasi Lok Sabha constituency from where Prime Minister Narendra Modi is contesting. Tamil Nadu farmers leader P Ayyakannu said Saturday that 111 farmers from the State will contest against PM Narendra Modi from Varanasi. March 24 A 24-year-old Kashmiri student was assaulted by a group of youth in AECS Layout near HAL in southeast Bengaluru on March 20, Deccan Herald reported. The victim, identified as Absar Zahoor Dhar who does modelling to fund his studies, said he had no idea why he was assaulted. March 23 Eight Members of a Muslim family in Gurgaon and guests who had come to visit them were beaten with sticks and rods, allegedly by a group of 20-25 men after they barged into their home and attacked them on Holi evening. The incident took place after when the boys of the family were playing cricket and not Holi, and the attackers demanded that they “go to Pakistan and play”. March 19 In one of the rare occasions, President Ram Nath Kovind on Tuesday awarded Shaurya Chakra to 16-year-old Irfan Ramzan Sheikh of Imam Sahib in Shopian for fighting militants who attacked his residence in Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir. Shaurya Chakra is usually awarded to armed forces and para-military personnel for "gallantry otherwise in the face of the enemy". March 18 Pakistan violated ceasefire early on Monday morning along the Line of Control (LoC) in Sunderbani sector of Rajouri district, the Indian Army said, adding that, The Indian Army is retaliating effectively. This comes after Pakistan on Wednesday violated ceasefire in Poonch sector of the state. In this fresh violation of ceasefire, one Indian Army man was killed, while three others were injured. Pakistani Rangers also initiated an unprovoked ceasefire violation in Chakkan da Bagh crossing point where the Line of Control (LoC) trade centre is located. March 15 Personal Belongings of eight Kashmiri students were allegedly vandalized by mobs at their their rented accommodation near the BFIT College in the vicinity of the institution at Dehradun.
