On Monday, Turkish Foreign Minister, Mevlut Cavusogl, said Turkey will respond if the European Union (EU) imposes new sanctions on Ankara. In a press conference with the EU foreign policy chief, Josep Borrell, Cavusogl stated: “If the EU takes further decisions against Turkey, we will have to respond to them.” Cavusogl urged the EU to be an 'honest broker' and said that Turkey will not be held hostage by Greece and Cyprus. A group consisting of 239 scientists from 32 different countries argue that the World Health Organization (WHO) needs to acknowledge that COVID-19 can spread through the air. Acknowledgement of the coronavirus being airborne can alter measures of preventing it’s spread. Since the start of the pandemic, the WHO maintained its claim of COVID-19 being spread by larger respiratory droplets that end up falling on the ground, which is often a consequence of people coughing or sneezing. United States (US) Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency announced on Monday that foreign students must leave the US if their school’s lectures this fall are being taught completely online or transfer to another school that is having in-person classes in order to legally remain in the US. Students who remain in the US, if their classes were fully transferred online for the fall, could potentially face deportation according to the ICE. ICE stated that it would 'not allow' student visa holders to stay in the US if their classes are fully online for the winter session. Indian government sources, two soldiers deployed in the Galwan Valley and the families of the fallen soldiers said that the Indian soldiers who died in the India-China clash last month were unarmed and surrounded by a larger Chinese force on a steep ridge.
