The Delhi Police has arrested two Kashmiri youth from Sarai Kale Khan in Delhi late night on Monday. Delhi Police has claimed that the duo were arrested near Millennium Park in Sarai Kale Khan around 10.15 pm on Monday night. The Delhi Police has said that the duo are Jaish e Muhammad affiliates and have been arrested with two pistols and two live cartridges. The duo have been identified as Abdul Lateef Mir,(22) son of Sanaullah Mir, a resident of Pala Mohalla in Baramulla and Mohammed Ashraf (20) son of Bashir Ahmed Khatana, a resident of Hatmulla in Kupwara. Of the 163 MLA-elects, 123 (51 per cent of total affidavits analysed) have serious criminal cases pending against them, including those related to murder, attempt to murder, kidnapping and crimes against women. In the 2015 Assembly elections, 142 (58 per cent) MLAs had self-declared such cases against them in their affidavits. This time, the ADR had analysed the self-sworn affidavits of 241 of the 243 victorious candidates. The ADR did not say anything on such details of remaining winners. The Supreme Court (SC) on Wednesday (November 11) granted bai to Republic TV editor-in-chief Arnab Goswami in Anvay Naik abetment to suicide case. During the hearing, Arnab's lawyer Harish Salve said that Naik's interior decoration firm was in debt for around seven years and it is possible that he first killed his mother and committed suicide. Salve claimed before the apex court that Arnab has paid all his vendors at the right time and the Raigad Police's decision to reopen the case was not done in a legal manner.
