Three civilians were injured in a grenade attack on a naka party of police and CRPF at Yaripora area of Kulgam district on Tuesday evening. An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that militants hurled a grenade and also fired upon a naka party of CRPF and Police in Yaripora, however, it missed the target and exploded away from them. He said that in the incident, three civilians received injuries, who have been shifted to hospital, where their condition is said to be stable. A policeman sustained injuries after he was hit by a speeding vehicle in Kunzer Chowk of Baramulla district, officials said. They told GNS that a police constable identified as Zubair Ahmad, was hit by a ‘Scorpio’ bearing registration number (MH06BM 9800) while he was on duty, resulting in injuries to him. He was removed to a nearby PHC, where the doctors referred him to JVC Srinagar for specialized treatment, they said. One person arrested for allegedly outraging girl’s modesty

Police have arrested one person for allegedly outraging girl's modesty here. A police officer told GNS that the accused has been identified as Showkat Ahmad, a resident of Hazratbal area of the city. He said a case under Sections 354-D (Assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code has been registered against the accused. A Policeman who was shot at by suspected militants in Soura locality of Srinagar has succumbed to his injuries. An official told The Kashmiriyat that on Tuesday afternoon militants fired upon a cop in the Soura locality of Srinagar, his daughter was also injured in the attack. The cop identified as Saifullah Qadri, son of Mohammad Syed Qadri, of Malik Saab was shifted to the nearby hospital where he succumbed to injuries in the hospital, a hospital official said. Speaking to The Kashmiriyat, he said that Safa Qadri, the daughter of the slain Policeman who is aged 8 has also sustained injuries during the attack. A Policeman has been shot at by suspected militants in Soura locality of Srinagar. Quoting a Police official, Local news agency- Kashmir News Trust reported that on Tuesday militants fired upon a cop who was rushed to the hospital. The cop identified as Saifullah Qadri succumbed to injuries in the hospital, Kashmir News Trust reported. The Police, however, has stated his condition to be critical. According to Kashmir Police zone, "Militants fired upon one policeman Saifullah Qadri S/o Mohd Syed Qadri, R/o Malik Saab, in Soura (Anchar) area. He is critically injured. A young man died in a road accident on Tuesday in Bijbehara area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district. Official sources told news agency Kashmir News Trust that a motor-cyclists met with an accident on Bijbehara Bypass, resulting in critical injuries to the rider, identified as Yasir Ahmad Dar son of Manzoor Ahmad Dar, a resident of Batpora Naina area of Pulwama district. They said that Dar was shifted to Sub District Hospital Bijbehara where he succumbed to his injuries. After the completion of legal formalities, the dead body was handed over to the family. (KNT)

An unidentified male body was recovered near Vishow Nallah at Aadbal Watoo village in Damhal Hanjipora area of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Monday. An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that a body was spotted by some locals lying in the Vishow Nallah near Aadbal Watoo following which they informed the police.
