Young carpenter dies in a scuffle in central Kashmir’s Budgam

Police registered a case after a 24-year-old carpenter from Central Kashmir’s Budgam district allegedly died during a scuffle in Kachwari village of Central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Monday morning. Local sources told news agency Kashmir News Trust that during a scuffle between two persons, Fayaz Ahmed Najar son of Abdul Rashid, a resident of Gurweith suffered a head injury. He was taken to Sub-District Hospital Khansahab where doctors referred him to SKIMS but he died on way. Sources added that the scuffle between the duo ensued over some matter. A police official said that a case has been registered and an investigation taken up. (KNT)

Baramulla woman beaten by husband on Eid Day for Dowry succumbs at SKIMS

At least nine residential houses were damaged in a massive fire in the old Town locality of this North Kashmir's Baramulla district, officials said on Saturday leaving 14 families homeless.
