Jammu Kashmir Bank customers failed to make transactions as majority of the ATMs of the bank were out of order on Saturday. Jammu Kashmir Bank faces frequent snags in its mpay application, but today, it faced an outage at almost every ATM just ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr. Scores of customers were seen waiting outside the ATMs on Residency Road in Srinagar. Customers left disappointed as they failed to make any transactions. “I was here to withdraw the cash, but the ATM didn’t work. An army soldier was killed and two others injured when an army vehicle they were travelling in met with an accident at Gadribal Ganiwan area of Central Kashmir's Ganderbal on Saturday. Official sources told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the army bus was vehicle part of a convoy that turned turtle near Masjid Mode Sumbal Bala Gund area of Kangan. Hundreds of home-bound patients especially patients suffering from chronic diseases such as Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), Asthma and heart related issues who survive on oxygen concentrators are suffering as in absence of electricity they are unable to run these concentrators which in turn deteriorates the condition of patient. A gang of boys attacked a youth in Sopore town last evening, causing severe injuries to him, even as police have arrested two accused so far. An official said that “gangsters” on Friday evening attacked a youth at New Colony when he was on way towards his home, leaving him severely injured. Anjuman-e-Auqaf Jamia Masjid (AAJ) Srinagar has announced that "as per the Islamic tradition" Eid-ul-Fitr prayers would be offered at the historic Eidgah in Srinagar at 9:30 am.
