April 04 Clashes Erupted in Parts of Kashmir valley as Kashmir remained shut for the fourth consecutive day against the Shopian Killings. The Clashes erupted in various localities of Kashmir including Shirpora Islamabad, Ompura Budgam, Newa Pulwama, Beerwah Budgam, Memandar Shopian and Palhalan, Pattan. The troopers used force to disperse the protesting youth. However the clashes were going on when this report was filed.

April 04 Massive Clashes erupted in Shirpora area of Islamabad town of South Kashmir on Wednesday. Locals told The Kashmiriyat that clashes erupted between government forces and Protesters in the Shirpora area. The Youth in the area gathered and threw stones on the Government troopers deployed in the area. The troopers deployed in the area fired tear smoke shells to disperse the protesters. April 04 A Policeman was critically injured after clashes erupted between government forces and Youth in Memendar area of Shopian in South Kashmir. "The Policeman was hit with a stone on his head and he was immediately rushed to the hospital for treatment," Sources told The Kashmiriyat. Clashes had erupted in the area over the killings of 18 Kashmiris in the past 4 days. Assistant professors selected on favouritism basis in IUST, allege aspirants

April 03 Jahangeer Ganie Aspirants for the posts of Assistant professor in various department of Islamic university of Science and technology IUST have alleged fraud by the university authorities. The aspirants while speaking to 'The Kashmiriyat' said that the university gave some   points to some favorite candidates which they were unaware of, which later became the criteria of getting the job in the university. April 03 Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan suggested multilateral dialogue to resolve the Kashmir issue to ensure peace in the region, ahead of bilateral talks with India. Erdogen, who arrived in Delhi ahead of talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, also favoured India's bid for membership of the Nuclear Suppliers Group (NSG) besides that of Pakistan, said India should not have an objection to it. "We should not allow more casualties to occur (in Kashmir). By having a multilateral dialogue, (in which) we can be involved, we can seek ways to settle the issue once and for all," he told a news channel in an interview.
