NSG May Soon come to Fight Kashmiri Militants’

April 04 The National Security Guards (NSG) has approached the home ministry and top national security planners for permission to send its troops to Kashmir to fight Militancy. They have approached the Ministry to support of Anti-Militancy operations conducted by the army and other Government forces in Jammu Kashmir. Low Speed Internet Restored in Islamabad

The data Services that were blocked on Sunday post the encounter in Dialgam and Shopian areas has been restored just now. 4 Killed in Road Accidents in Kashmir

April 04 One person was killed and another was injured when a stone hit their vehicle on Srinagar-Jammu national highway, official sources said here on Wednesday. The injured were rushed to the hospital where one of them identified as Barak Bilal, (23) a resident of Uamania Colony, Sanant Nagar, Srinagar was declared brought dead. While a couple and their 3-year old child died while their 18-months old baby was injured in a road mishap at Letpora along Srinagar-Jammu highway on Wednesday wee hours. The deceased have been identified as Ghulam Nabi Dar (40), his wife Jawahara Begium (35), their son Nasir Dar (3) of Hatlungoo Sopore. The injured has been identified as Yasir Dar (18-months old).

14,460 Bunkers worth 415.73 Crores to be Constructed Across LOC in Jammu Kashmir

April 04 (Image Used for Representation) NBCCBSE, State-owned construction firm today said it has received sanction for the construction of 14,460 bunkers in villages along the Indo-Pak border in Jammu Kashmir amounting to Rs 415.73 crore. "NBCC has received sanction from Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), Government of India, for the Construction of 14,460 bunkers in villages along the Indo-Pak Border in the state of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) amounting Rs 415.73 crore (approx)," the company said in a BSE filing. NBCC said it is already executing border fencing work on Indo-Pak & Indo-Bangla borders for the MHA. Shares of NBCC were trading at Rs 208.85 apiece, down 0.85 per cent, on BSE.

Average Life of Kashmiri Militant Reduces to 3 Months

April 04 In a strong indication that the shelf life of Kashmiri militants has plummeted, all the 13 militants killed by the security forces on Sunday had joined the militancy movement only about three-four months back. “Earlier the shelf life of a militant in Kashmir was between six and eight months which has further gone down now to about three to four months now," a top military official closely associated with the Kashmir counter-insurgency operations told a newspaper.
