April 01 Another civilian of south Kashmir’s Shopian district has succumbed to his injuries and was brought dead at SKIMS Soura this evening, SOurces told The Kashmiriyat Sources identified the as Mohammad Iqbal Bhat, 35 of Shopian. “He was brought dead to the hospital this evening,” Medical Superintendent SKIMS Dr Farooq Jan said.

He has been identified as Mehraj Ahmed Mir, Son of Mohammed Yaseen Mir a resident of Wokay Kulgam, officials told The Kashmiriyat. The Civilian was injured in the clashes at the encounter site in Shopian earlier today, Sources told The Kashmiriyat.

Universities in Kashmir Postpone Exams

April 01 Nadeem Yusuf Militants on Sunday offered Gun Salute to slain Rouf Bashir Khanday who was killed in a nocturnal Encounter that erupted in South Kashmir’s Shopian District, Locals told The Kashmiriyat. Official sources confirmed the firing incident to The Kashmiriyat. "We cannot confirm if the firing was a Gun salute or not," the official said. The firing incident happened in Watnad area of Kokernag area of the Islamabad (Anantnag) District.

April 01 At least 100 civilians have been injuries during clashes in two districts of Shopian and Kulgam following the killing of militants on Sunday in three separate gunfights across south Kashmir. Meanwhile Police has used massive force at the Funeral of Zaubair Ahmed Turray in Main town of Shopian District. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that the troopers used tear smoke shells and Pellets to disperse the mourners. Official sources confirmed that 35 out of them have been referred to Srinagar for further treatment. 2 Civilians have been killed in the clashes near the encounter sites. Meanwhile South Kashmir is observing a complete shutdown and Internet Services have also been shut. Railway Services have also been shut in Southern Kashmir.

April 01 Tawseef Nazir 3 Militant bodies have been recovered in the encounter which has just concluded in Kachdoora area of Shopian District in South Kashmir, Sources told The Kashmiriyat. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that three more Militants are believed to have been killed in the Encounter. 13 Militants have been killed in two separate Encounters in South Kashmir’s Kachdoora and Sugan area in Shopian Districts.
